One of our Founder Sophie’s most cherished childhood memories was of taking sunny walks as a little girl; stopping to watch and feed the ducks by the Serpentine in Hyde Park, central London.

It was therefore no surprise at all that a Duck character would feature as an iconic image in Trotters’ collections since it was first introduced more than twentyfive years ago.

A simple childhood pleasure, taking a walk by the water, and feeding the ducks: Sophie felt that a mother duck, often waddling with little ducklings in tow, would resonate with many parents and children alike. Love and attention to detail has been given to these friendly and familiar birds by all of us at Trotters ever since.
